It is with great pleasure I write to you today to inform you of some important changes to our organisation as of today, July 1.
As you may well be aware we have been undergoing a comprehensive rebrand and transition process coinciding with the Australian Governments disbanding of the Medicare Local networks.
Now trading under the new identify of North and West Remote Health Ltd; a not for profit company we look forward to exciting times ahead and continuing to deliver our comprehensive array of primary health care services across Central and North West Queensland and further afield as time progresses.
As a service user we wish to reiterate that whilst we have undergone a name and slight structure change, in essence our core mission of supporting Healthier Communities through the coordination and delivery of primary health care and connecting local communities with health services remains unchanged.
Working closely with the new Primary Health Network (PHN) in our current regional footprint (Western Queensland Primary Care Collaborative) and our many other established networks, funding partners and assets our multidisciplinary teams including allied health professionals have a commitment to continuity of services. Teamed with our strong record of improving health services and our capabilities for delivering innovative, flexible and solution focussed programs in numerous rural and remote communities we are confident of a positive future ahead.
Whilst our contact details and referral procedures remain unchanged we encourage you to make contact with our local teams in Townsville, Mount Isa, Longreach and the Gulf to discuss our future relations and to read though our new comprehensive website www.nwrh.com.au.
We thank you for your continued support through this exciting transition process and look forward to working with you into the future for the improved health of our communities.
