Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can. We understand that for many people, their home is their safe place and it’s important to them to stay there. Our team can provide support in your own home, including disability services, aged care and more.
The type of support we can provide will depend on your individual needs and what has been outlined in your NDIS plan. To be eligible for an NDIS plan, you must have a disability that is permanent and significantly affecting your ability to take part in everyday activities.
The type of support we can provide will depend on your My Aged Care package. We can assist you with registering for the Commonwealth Home Support, Home Care and Residential Aged Care Programs, and explain what these options entail.
Health, Wellbeing and Support
At NWRH, we are here to support individuals of all ages. If you are living with a disability or chronic illness, managing mental health difficulties or experiencing health complications as you age, you may be able to benefit from our services. We will take the time to listen to your needs and tailor our support to suit. Our staff also aid carers—so you can take a break and ensure your loved one will be in good hands while you’re away.
Our services are as follows:
- Allied healthcare: including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioners
- Aged care: domestic help, personal care, transport, social support and more
- NDIS services: daily assistance, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and more
- Mental health services: psychologists and other mental health professionals
We employ locals as often as we can, ensuring our workforce is reflective of the populations we serve and sensitive to the cultural needs of our clients. From Mirnidyan Gununa to Mornington Island State School and beyond, our Mornington Island team is here to help.
